What is Non-Surgical BBL?

Non-Surgical BBL, also known as non-surgical buttock augmentation, is a medical procedure designed to enhance and reshape the buttocks without the need for surgery.

Unlike traditional Brazilian Butt Lift, which involves fat transfer or buttock implants, the non-surgical BBL utilises non-invasive procedures to achieve similar results.

Our unique, worldwide-known non-surgical BBL technique, invented by Dr Ducu, is called non-surgical DBL™.

The technique has been designed with safety at it’s forefront, specifically to minimise the risk of infection and migration. Over more than eight years of clinical use, we’ve continually refined our technique and infection‑prevention protocols. However, as with any medical procedure, a small risk of complications remains, and we will discuss this with you in detail during your consultation. DBL™ was developed as an alternative to both surgical and other non‑surgical solutions to correct gluteal asymmetry, gluteal atrophy, and gluteal scarring that may appear as a complication after surgery or trauma. It is also used to treat significant weight loss that leads to excess skin and gluteal atrophy.

How does non-surgical BBL (DBL™) work?

The non-surgical BBL is the way to achieve those toned and sculpted buttocks you are dreaming of.
Why would you choose surgery when you have the option of a non-invasive procedure with long-lasting effects? (A consultation is required as some patients are not suitable for the procedure.)

At Dr Ducu Clinics, we are the only provider of DBL™ worldwide. The butt filler injections treatment is minimally invasive, and with our DBL™ technique, it is a very safe way to correct or enhance your gluteal area whilst minimising the risks and downtime of surgery.

*Like any procedure, DBL™ has risks, and that is why we recommend always booking a consultation with one of our doctors to be sure that this procedure fits your needs.

What is non-surgical DBL™ for butt enhancement?

The DBL™, or Dr Ducu Bum Lift, is a non-surgical procedure that involves the use of dermal fillers to correct, restore, repair, enhance, and lift the buttocks. This approach uses the combination of two types of fillers to achieve more volume, definition, and a firmer appearance without the need for surgery. Fillers are injected into specific areas of the buttocks to shape and contour them. The procedure is relatively quick and involves minimal downtime.

Patients worldwide use this medical procedure to correct lipo BBL complications, butt implant complications, and congenital defects.

What is the difference between DBL™ and non-surgical BBL?

The main difference between a DBL™ and a non-surgical BBL lies in the safety and technique of the procedure.

DBL™ was developed as a corrective medical procedure to replace certain surgical corrections when clinically appropriate. It can also be used as a cosmetic buttock‑enhancement treatment.

Non-surgical DBL™ VS Brazilian Butt Lift

When choosing between a DBL™ and a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), it’s essential to understand their key differences to find the best option for your goals.

DBL™ is a minimally invasive medical procedure with no downtime, minimal restrictions, and predictable results. In most cases, the final result is visible within 2–4 weeks, and a small touch‑up may sometimes be required.

On the other hand, the Brazilian Butt Lift is a surgical procedure that involves fat transfer from other areas of the body to the buttocks – it has long downtime and recovery time, and final results can take up to 1 year.  It is a high-risk surgery.

Liquid BBL London

Non-surgical BBL is often referred to as Liquid BBL. It is a modern alternative to traditional Brazilian Butt Lift surgery. Unlike the surgical method, which involves fat transfer and a lengthy recovery, the non-surgical BBL uses premium dermal fillers to enhance volume, shape, and contour with no incisions, no general anesthesia, and minimal downtime. It’s called “liquid” because the results are achieved through injectable fillers rather than surgical reshaping.

At Dr Ducu Clinics, we offer top-tier Liquid BBL treatments using the exclusive, patented DBL™ (Ducu Butt Lift) technique, ensuring natural-looking curves, symmetry, and long-lasting results tailored to your unique body.

Non-Surgical BBL London procedure

1. Consultation

Before the procedure, you will undergo a comprehensive and in-depth consultation to review and discuss your desired objectives. Your buttock contour will be assessed to ascertain your eligibility for the DBL™.

2. Application of the butt filler injections

Application of the butt filler injections On the day of your appointment, following consultation, your doctor will mark out the individual target areas for augmentation and provide you with an estimation of how much filler is required. Following this, local anaesthetic is administered. The hyaluronic‑acid buttock fillers are administered through an ultra‑fine cannula to ensure precise results and refined contours. One entry point is used to minimise the risk of infection; therefore, multiple sessions may be required to achieve the desired outcome.

3. Aftercare

After the DBL™ session, you may experience some swelling and bruising, which is normal. We will provide a full recovery plan for you and will address all the questions you might have. Side effects of the DBL™ procedure are usually mild. Swelling and redness typically last for 2–7 days, but you can usually return immediately to your daily routine.

4. Results

Results after the procedure are not final due to potential swelling and other body reactions. The final results after DBL™ will begin to appear after 3 weeks. In any case, top-ups may be required.

Non-surgical BBL tailored to your needs

Our DBL™ (Non-surgical BBL) is tailored specifically to your unique butt shape, ensuring that the treatment enhances your natural curves and achieves the most flattering results. Whether your butt is A-shaped, Round, V-shaped, or Square (H-shaped), we customise the approach to meet your individual needs and goals.

A-Shape

For A-shaped buttocks, our treatment focuses on lifting and adding volume to the upper portion, creating a more balanced and fuller appearance.

Round Shape (O)

If you have a round shape, we enhance your natural curves by adding subtle volume and contour, ensuring a smooth, lifted, and more pronounced silhouette.

V-Shape

For V-shaped buttocks, our approach aims to fill out the lower and outer areas, providing a more rounded and fuller look that complements your body shape.

Square (H) Shape

With square-shaped buttocks, we work to soften the edges and add volume to the center, creating a more contoured and rounded appearance that enhances your overall figure.

Here is why:

Non-Invasive: Minimally-Invasive: Unlike traditional surgical procedures, DBL™ techniques do not require large incisions, relying on needle sized entry points instead, resulting in minimal trauma to the body and shorter recovery time.

Enhanced Curves: DBL™ can help enhance the curves and contours of the buttocks, providing a fuller and more shapely appearance.

Improved symmetry, correction of atrophy, correction of most gluteal area defects: The butt fillers can address asymmetries or irregularities in buttock shape, creating a more balanced and proportionate appearance.

Natural-looking results: With the use of injectable fillers, the DBL™ can deliver natural-looking results that blend seamlessly with your existing contours.

Non surgical DBL™ benefits

The top-notch technology and expertise we have at Dr Ducu Clinics allow us to offer a long-lasting solution for an hourglass figure.

Whether your goal is increasing the size and roundness of the buttocks or sculpting your body contours, DBL™ is a long‑lasting solution.

A DBL™ is a great option for someone looking to enhance their backside. The candidate should be at a healthy weight and be in overall good health.

We use vigorously tested Hyaluronic acid filler for our DBL procedure.

Injecting the product is contraindicated in the following situations: sun exposure, smoking, pregnancy and breastfeeding, hypersensitivity to any of the components, autoimmune diseases, leukaemia, infectious diseases, blood‑clotting problems, herpes, acne, unhealed skin problems, complications after surgeries or permanent product injections (silicone, acrylic polymers, dextran), untreated infectious periodontitis, severe myasthenia, multiple sclerosis, Lambert‑Eaton syndrome, ALS, Parkinson’s disease or any other condition affecting the muscles, blood or skin.

Before the Procedure the following activities are forbidden: alcohol use for a period of minimum 2 days, smoking, sun exposure or any other types of radiation, using medications such as antibiotics, aminoglycosides, spectinomycin or any medicine that interferes with the neuromuscular system, or with blood clotting or skin.

Please avoid drinking fizzy drinks or coffee and in the morning of the procedure try to have a full breakfast.

Before the procedure, you will be given an antibiotic tablet, which is required to be taken pre‑procedure to minimise the risk of infection. The agreed areas are then marked and discussed with the patient. Afterwards, the area is cleaned and disinfected, with the targeted area isolated with sterile drapes.

To make the procedure as comfortable as possible, the procedure is performed under local anaesthetic, using an injection.

A single entry point per side is used to minimise the risk of infection where possible, if excessive entry points are required, you may need more than 1 session to achieve the desired outcome. Your doctor will discuss the maximum safe volumes after assessment based on your current size, your aim and your degree of skin laxity.

Once anaesthetised, the filler is injected in the layer between the deep fat and the muscle for safety reasons as well as to create a softer, more refined result.

Once the agreed quantity has been injected, the area is massaged to spread the product, which will create a softer and more comfortable feel. There is no need to massage the area again once this is done, and it is not recommended at all to do so after the procedure

You should experience little to no downtime after a DBL™. Mild side effects such as redness over the area or some localised numbness may persist for a few days after the procedure but they should not impact your ability to return to work or resume exercising (after 7 days as per post procedure instructions). The procedure takes around an hour to complete and does not usually necessitate any downtime.

After the completion of the procedure your doctor will take you through individualised aftercare although usually it is perfectly safe to sit down immediately afterwards. At the end of the procedure, your doctor will perform a deep tissue massage to ensure that the filler occupies the space that it is intended to. Any unintended migration will be assessed and treated accordingly.

As with any medical procedure, DBL™ carries potential risks and side effects. Your decision to undergo treatment should be based on an understanding of these risks, balanced against the potential benefits discussed during your consultation.

DBL™ uses cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance naturally found in the body. Although HA itself is biocompatible, injectable HA fillers can still trigger an inflammatory or immune response. Most reactions are mild and temporary, but in rare cases they may be prolonged or permanent. The long-term effects of large-volume HA body fillers are not yet fully understood.

Common side effects are typically mild and occur within the first few days after treatment. These may include:

  • Swelling
  • Bruising
  • Tenderness or discomfort
  • Redness
  • Needle marks
  • Temporary asymmetry
  • Acne-like skin eruptions or increased skin sensitivity

These effects usually resolve without treatment, although occasional touch-up treatment may be required to correct asymmetry.

Less common but more serious complications can include:

  • Infection
  • Filler migration or lumpiness
  • Bleeding or prolonged swelling
  • Allergic or hypersensitivity reactions
  • Granuloma formation
  • Scarring or delayed healing
  • Skin necrosis due to vascular compromise
  • Accidental injection into a blood vessel, which can lead to tissue damage and, in extremely rare cases, serious complications such as embolism, stroke, or cardiovascular events
  • Unsatisfactory cosmetic outcome requiring further treatment or filler removal

As with all injectable procedures, unforeseen complications may occur and could require additional treatment, hospitalisation, or surgical intervention. Individual healing and treatment outcomes vary, and no specific cosmetic result can be guaranteed.

After the Procedure, the following activities are forbidden, for 1 week: manipulating the area(s) of injection, alcohol use, smoking, exposure to sun or other types of radiation, extreme temperatures (such as hot/cold showers, sauna, etc), using products for skin that are not recommended by the doctor for the area undergoing the procedure, any movements or actions of/on the area that can affect or traumatise the area (such as massaging the area, hitting, procedures or treatments on the area unless previously being assessed and deemed suitable by a healthcare practitioner).

Take short walks and proceed with your usual routine as long as it is not too straining. Sleep on your front for 7 days. Treated area to remain clean and dry for 24 hours. Avoid sun, sauna, baths, extreme heat, or cold for 7 days and take your antibiotics as prescribed (1 every 8 hours). There may be some swelling and bruising post-procedure, which is a normal reaction. If any concerns, please contact the Dr Ducu London team.

Dr Ducu London team will always keep in contact with you to ensure you are well. For any inquiries, please feel free to contact us anytime.

It lasts between 6 to 24months, based on your metabolism and lifestyle. We advise a touch-up of around 50 ml on each side every 9-12 months. Whereas hyaluronic acid does get broken down with time, the longer you have touch ups the longer filler tends to last, although individual results may vary.

Answer: Your doctor will perform an ultrasound scan at the beginning of the procedure to map out your anatomy; understanding the location of any blood vessels, previous filler which you may have had and any other anatomical variations. This will help guide them safely when performing the procedure and placing the filler appropriately.
