Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
No more sweating
Bo.tox is often an effective treatment for excessive sweating. Bo.tox injections are a simple and quick procedure which treats some areas of the body like palms, face, soles of feet.
For underarm sweating, booster injections are generally needed every 7 to 16 months. Results may not last as long for the hands and feet, and you may need to repeat your treatment after about 6 months.
Most patients need about 50 units of Bo.tox hyperhidrosis injections per underarm to experience a reduction in underarm sweating. The injectable is administered into the grid pattern drawn on the armpit on the day of the treatment.
Patients typically start seeing results in five days, with full results after two weeks.
Bo.tox injections have been FDA approved to treat excessive sweating. In the skin, Bo.tox selectively turns off the sweat glands resulting in a normal appearance without wetness. Treatment is performed during an outpatient clinic visit and no recuperative time or special care is needed afterward.
